A Recent Conversation
The Scene: Claire, playing in the bath. Sitting on her knees so her little chubs are halfway in the water.
(Tooting sound)
(Claire looks up at her mother and grins)
Claire: I tooted.
Mom: Yes, you did.
Claire: No poopies, though. Or pee pee. Only tooties in the bath.
Mom: Well Claire, I'm certainly glad to hear you say that.
Claire: Yeah, only tooties.
Laurie, this always makes me think of you and your eldest daughter. Someday I think Claire is going to follow in her footsteps, just because she wants to see what it looks like.

Dancing Queen
Claire loves to dance. As evidenced by her recent attendance at her first ever wedding.
It helped that there were a ton of kids at this wedding - more than I've ever seen. Thanks Keralyn & Bill for letting us bring the kiddos!! They certainly led the dancing, it didn't matter what music was playing - slow, fast, country, rock - the kids just let loose.
Her signature move is a kick of the right leg followed by a spin.

Overheard
Reporting the dialogue of our nearly 3-year old.
Backstory: Claire's room was a disaster yesterday when I got home from work. She had nearly all the items out of her toy box on her floor. No big deal. We were making light of it off and on. At one point in the evening she walked into her room and this is what transpired.
Claire: Wow, there is a lot of stuff in here.
Pause for 30 seconds
Claire: Gee whiz, this room is a mess.
Not kidding, folks. She used the phrase 'gee whiz'.
