Claire has learned how to use her lungs. She loves to scream at the top of her lungs, typically when others are talking but not always. Sometimes mom & dad think she is doing it just to hear the sound of her own voice. She has also started making some new sounds (more na-nas). Mom tried to get a video of Claire talking over the weekend but as soon as the camera came out she quieted down and stared at the strange piece of equipment mom was holding.
Mom & dad are sleep deprived this week as Claire seems to be going through a new phase. She wakes in the middle of the night (no real pattern) and falls asleep while being held but awakens as soon as she is placed in her crib. We're not sure if she is teething or if because we lowered the temp in the house just a bit she is too cold. She has spent the last two nights sleeping on either mom or dad, which doesn't lead to great deal of quality sleep for all involved.
She heads into the doctor for her 9 month appointment next week. 9 months already. Holy cow!
